Routine maintenance and inspection of conveyor belt

After the conveyor belt is put into operation, it also needs constant maintenance.
Conduct appearance inspection once a day, including:
1. Check whether the conveyor belt joint parts are abnormal.
2. Whether the conveyor belt is cut, cracked, penetrating or damaged by other reasons.
3. Whether there is inter layer peeling damage, especially at the joint ends.
4. Check whether the core body is broken.
5. Check whether the upper and lower covering material is worn, especially the upper covering , and check whether the coal cleat touches the surface of the conveyor belt.
6. Check if half of the conveyor belt is worn.
7. Whether there is wear on both sides of the conveyor belt.
Check the wear of the conveyor belt once a week, and the inspection point should be a certain distance from the joint parts.
Check the operation once a week, including:
1 Whether the conveyor belt and bracket are worn due to the deviation of the conveyor belt.
2. Whether the material has partial load.
3. Check whether the belt sag between idlers is normal.
4. Is there any overflow of materials on the conveyor belt due to excessive idler spacing.
5. Whether the conveyor belt is wrinkled and sagging.
6. Whether the conveyor belt slips on the drive roller.
Determination of elongation
At the beginning of operation, check whether the tension device is effective every week. After one month, check once a month. Check twice a year after three months of operation. During inspection, measure the standard line-to-line distance set by the conveyor belt through the tension device.
Conduct visual inspection on the joint once a week
Check whether there are abnormal phenomena such as trauma, concave-convex, etc. During the inspection, place the joint at the position with low tension.
◆Check mount points weekly
Check whether the position of the buffer idler is correct and whether the gap between the baffle and the conveyor belt is appropriate.
◆Check the cleaning device every two days
Check whether the scraper operates well, and whether the roller and carrier roller are stuck with materials.
◆Check the roller and idler every two days
Observe whether the bearing is damaged, lack of oil and operates normally, and replace the worn idler in time.
